Labour contractors can hire upto 50 labourers without further permissions

Maharashtra government has allowed labour contractors to hire upto 50 labourers without needing further permissions from labour commissioner for registrations and other clearances.

This is expected to create more jobs. There are about 1.7 million contract labourers in the state.
