Developers who own over 40 hectares land will not need NA conversion permission.

This policy, cleared by Maharashtra Cabinet, makes things easier for developers.

They will get upto 50% cut in stamp duty payment. Developers with 40 hect will get 70% of basic FSI, those with 200-500 hect will get 80%, those with over 500 hectares will get 100% FSI.

Projects coming up on agricutural land will have to pay a 15% premium to the state, those coming up on hilltops/ hillslopes, afforestation zones will need to pay a 20% and those coming in semi-public, public or industrial zones will need to pay 10%.

Collector will have to clear project in 45 days or state reason for refusal. Divisional Jt director of Town Planning will have to send remarks on master plan of the project to the collector within 2 months.
