Taiwan’s Foxconn, the world’s largest contract manufacturer and the largest assembler of Apple’s iphones is looking to setup a plant on 200 acres at JNPT SEZ at an invesment of INR 6,000 crores.

Foxconn, the world’s largest contract manufacturer and the largest assembler of Apple’s iphones is increasing smartphone manufacturing capacity in Andhra Pradesh.
It manufactuers phones for Apple, Xiaomi, Microsoft, Gionee, Infocus, Oppo, Asus and Micromax. India is the fastest growing smartphone market. With changes in policy it is now cheaper to make in India than import from China.
