Vidarbha the highest cotton producing area in the country

Vidarbha has 300 ginning factories and more than 50 spinning mills.

About 35 lakh bales are sent to other parts of India while about 8 lakh cotton bales are consumed in Vidarbha.

Around 37% of the area under cultivation is being used for Cotton.

Industry needs to adopt villages & do corporate farming.
