Pool funding gets liberal rules in India

pool funding

25-Nov-2015 :

An Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), a pooled investment vehicle, in India can have majority or almost entire money from offshore investors and buy into businesses where foreign ownership is restricted.

As per the rules, a fund will be considered as domestic in nature as long as its sponsors and managers who control the fund are Indian. An AIF can directly buy into companies carrying out e-commerce, or making defence machinery, or holding farm land.
