Nagpur is an ideal location for manufacturing of defense aircrafts & space parts of aircrafts in which Russian government is interested in investing in India says Denis Mantrov, Russian Trade & Industry Minister. A Russia delegation led by him is interested in making investments in defense, aerospace, logistics and warehousing at MIHAN area in Nagpur.
There is need for an MRO with Russian support for procurement of original equipment for large number of Russian aircraft used by IAF. The ecosystem for this is available at MIHAN in Nagpur. There is huge scope for OEMs to set up units in India which will solve problems of IAF in sourcing says Devendra Fadnavis, CM.
