MIG flats carpet area increased for subsidy

The central govt has cleared a proposal to increase carpet area of housing eligible for interest subsidy under credit linked subsidy scheme for MIG houses under PMAY (Urban). Carpet area for MIG-I will be upto 120 m2 and for MIG-II will be upto 150 m2 w.e.f. 01-Jan-2017.
In MIG-I interest subsidy of 4% has been proficed for loans upto 9 lakhs and in MIG-II interest subsidy of 3% has been provided for loan upto 12 lakhs.

Under PMAY scheme home buyers will get 4% interest waiver on loan upto INR 9 Lakhs and 3% on loan upto INR 12 Lakhs.
