Big challenge is youth and unemployment

The biggest challenge was how to train children for jobs as the quality of teaching in India is not high says Sharon Memis, Director, West India, British Council Division, British Deputy High Commission

There is a mismatch between employer imagination and employee imagination. There are 60% graduates in India which lack problem-solving, while in UK it is 40%.

There are a lot of solutions for making incremental changes. This has to be taken care of right from the primary school level she says.

She was speaking at the Global Nagpur Summit.
